Five years ago, the Village Tavern had an opportunity to open our first location internationally and it happens to be where I was born, the Philippines. Mr. Bill Stelton of the Bistro Group, who gave me my first big break in this industry, partnered with Mr. Tony Santarelli of the Village Tavern, who gave me the chance to live the American Dream. Such is the circle of hospitality and life!
I am truly humbled and grateful to all the incredible people that made Village Tavern Manila successful through the years. They epitomize our mission to be the service and hospitality leader. A special thanks to the Executive Team of Mr. Paul Manuud, Ms. RC Tiongson and Ms. Thess Alejandrino, along with the marketing genius of Ms. Lisa Ronquillo with Ms. Michelle Lapuz, as well as the uber talent of the culinary team headed by award-winning and Best Chef in Asia, Josh Boutwood and our Restaurant Chefs Ninyo dela Cruz and Mark Suede and of course, the utmost dedication of our Front of the House team headed by General Manager, Mark Ongsip with Czarina Sicad.
